Most travelers prefer to stay in all-inclusive hotels, where it is assumed that guests eat buffet-style meals. One employee of such a hotel shared her observations in an interview. She believes there is nothing wrong with guests taking food from the buffet to their rooms. She is surprised that most travelers try not to talk about these actions, considering them not quite legal. The hotel employee claims that most hotel owners have nothing against guests taking food to go, and hardly any of them will call the police about it, no matter what hotel and etiquette experts say on the subject. After all, most of the food that guests put on their plate and can’t eat will be thrown in the trash. Therefore, she believes that it is better to put a portion on the plate, which can be eaten without overeating, and for a snack take extra food with you to your room. To tell the truth, in hotels with many guests, the removal of food is not as good as in small family-run hotels. In large hotels it is better to limit the take out of food, taking a small amount and only if necessary.
